A great ride today, 25 degrees and a slight North breeze kept everyone inside except the HTFU group.
Today I rode the Primus 1X9. It's my current winter bike. I have a 34 on the front to keep me from cheating during by base training. I have to say that you can go pretty fast on a geared bike. I had a blast hitting the dirt fire roads before the snow storm moved in. I know that tomorrow I will have to ride on the tar bike trail or road. With the high of 20 as the forecast I am guessing will will be on the road or tar bike trail. Which is fine the cold weather keeps people in because they know the next day or two it will be 50. The Broncos are also playing so that will limit traffic. What I cant forget is to wear my revolutioncycleandski.com hat. I love that thing!
The good news is that I am still holding my training plan and getting the hours in I need! Ya, it's only been a week, but still I am amped to ride every day and every minute. That is something that I have missed for a few years.
On the way home I found a goat head and rode over it. I fixed the flat but my pump broke and I had to ride very carefully the last 5 miles.
Tonight I am going to Julie's work party at some swank restaurant downtown. The roads are looking pretty wet and may turn to ice but I can't pass up a free meal.
